Good afternoon, Patriot Families,
In this edition of the Patriot E-News, we’re highlighting several ways you can support our schools and community. We are deeply grateful for the continued partnership and generosity of our Oglethorpe County families and friends.
🍎 Supporting Families in Need
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated toward purchasing food for those in our community who are struggling. Your kindness is making a real difference!
If you would still like to contribute:
· Direct donations can be made through the Athens Area Foundation at
👉https://www.oglethorpe.k12.ga.us/o/ogs/page/direct-donations
· Checks may also be dropped off at the Central Office. We will forward them to the Athens Area Foundation, which will acknowledge your donation and send you the appropriate tax documentation.
This week, we’ll be taking a truck to the Food Bank to purchase items and then hosting a pop-up food pantry.
If you or your family are in need of food, please contact Jodi Zeuke at

💡 PEACH Education Tax Credit
Another way to make an impact is through the PEACH Education Tax Credit, which allows Georgia taxpayers to receive a dollar-for-dollar state income tax credit for contributions to the Georgia Foundation for Public Education.
These funds help us support:
Literacy and student leadership programs
School safety initiatives
4-H student activities
New goal: expanding AI technology for students and staff
Your contribution not only benefits Oglethorpe County students but also gives you the power to decide how your tax dollars are used.
